Closure of Metrobus Stations Due to Marches

The Metrobus of Mexico City announced on Friday the closure of stations on some lines due to mobilizations for International Women's Day. From 11:00 AM until approximately 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, lines 1, 3, 4, and 7 will have service limitations. It is important to note that the times are estimated and there may be additional delays.

On line 1, the Reforma and Hamburgo stations will be closed, with service from Indios Verdes to Plaza de la República and Insurgentes to El Caminero in both directions. The Indios Verdes – Pueblo Santa Cruz Atoyac route will not be operational during that time.

On line 3, the Mina, Hidalgo, Juárez, and Balderas stations will remain closed. Service will be available from Tenayuca to Buenavista and from Cuauhtémoc to Pueblo Santa Cruz Atoyac in both directions.

Line 4 will have the Buenavista to Amajac and to Bellas Artes stations closed. Service will be operational from San Lázaro to Defensores de la República and to Teatro Blanquita in both directions, as well as from Pantitlán/Alameda Central to Teatro Blanquita. Airport service will not be affected.

On line 7, the stations from Hidalgo to Campo Marte will be closed. Service will operate from Glorieta Violeta to Indios Verdes/Hospital Inf. La Villa in both directions. The Alameda Tacubaya to Glorieta Cuitláhuac route will not be available.

Events for International Women's Day will take place from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with the march starting at the Diana Cazadora roundabout or the Angel of Independence and progressing through various streets such as Paseo de la Reforma towards the Zócalo. It is recommended to stay updated on transit and public transport updates.

During the march, traffic cuts are expected on streets adjacent to the Zócalo such as Juárez, Balderas, Eje Central, Pino Suárez, February 5, República de Argentina, Cuba, and Brazil. Alternate routes such as Circuito Interior, Eje 1 Norte, Eje Oriente, Avenida Chapultepec, among others, have been established to avoid delays or disruptions in city movement.
